Ryan Gosling may have recieved 2 Golden Globe nominations but we are pretty sure the highlight of his week will be winning 'The Coolest Person of 2011' title from Time Magazine.
The actor, who lost his 'Sexiest Man Alive' title to Bradley Cooper earlier this year, will be relieved that he is still considered 'cool'.
Time Magazine writer Joel Stein described the 'Blue Valentine' actor as "a man who is tough but emotional," and surely his refusal to be interviewed about the honour pushes him even further up the cool-scale.
The 31 year-old, who is currently dating Eva Mendes, recieved his Golden Globe nominations for romantic comedy 'Crazy, Stupid Love' and political thriller 'Ides Of March', directed by George Clooney.
We wonder if George, another former winner of the 'Sexiest Man Alive' discussed the title with Ryan during filming?
The accolade should not be mistaken for Time's other award 'Person Of The Year' which was won by 'the protester', referring generically to the people who have been protesting around the world in 2011.
